Innovative Well Abandonment has been contracted to cut the barge currently stationed on Tailings Area 9 into two distinct halves. The operation involves utilizing custom ultra-high-pressure (UHP) waterjet cutting technology to sever the mending plates along both sides of the barge.

03 — Assumptions
Assumptions & Conditions
The basis of estimate for this proposal, including access, schedule and operating conditions.
Cut Direction
Innovative will use its custom track system to cut from the outside of the barge inward.
Working Platforms
OJ Industrial will provide platforms on both sides of the barge where the mending plates are being cut. Innovative will monitor and verify the cut as it progresses.
Welder
OJ Industrial will provide a welder to address any track-system mounting issues.
Temporary Power
Power—approximately a 2,000-watt generator—will be available on the barge for Innovative’s drive assembly.
Water-Jet Backing
Innovative will provide two 2×6 boards, eight feet long, inside the barge to prevent water-jet damage.
Barge Access
OJ Industrial will position the barge approximately 15–17 metres from shore so Innovative’s cutting truck can access it.
Accommodation
Pricing assumes Innovative employees will stay in camp accommodations provided at or near the Suncor Base Plant.
Safety and Communications
Suncor will provide any required gas-detection monitors and two-way communication devices.
